Well, Ryder is finally here, and let's just say he came in with a BANG! That's right, no normal entrance for this little man!  He wanted to make sure everyone was paying attention!  
We got to the hospital at 7:15am on Thursday.  Everything was going great UNTIL...well, until it wasn't!  I started running pretty high fever and Ryder's heart beat was not consistent.  It dropped and then went high repeatedly.  You can only imagine the scare he gave us.  So, this continued for a bit and the dr. continued to monitor me.  Around 5:15 we decided a C-section would be the safest way to go.  They took me back and our baby Ryder was born at 5:58!  I couldn't see when they pulled him out.  This is all I heard, "WOW....Oh my, that's a BIG baby!"  Ryder came into this world weighing 9lbs even and measuring 22inches.  He is BEAUTIFUL!!! Because of the drama before hand and my fever, Ryder has to be in the NICU for a few days.  Yesterday he was granted permission to come down to our room and visit for awhile.  He is just the most amazing little person.  Everyone was right...words cannot express the way a newborn baby changes you the minute he is born.  I am a whole new person!  
I'm not sure when we'll be leaving the hospital, but I'll keep you posted!  Here are some pictures of Ryder's birthday and the day after.

Mom and Dad - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!  I am so luck to have the greatest parents in the whole world!  Thank you for the values you taught me and all of the memories we have together.  I am blessed beyond belief to have you as my parents.  I love y'all so much!!  Lucky for your two, my scanner isn't working.  If it was the afro pic would be posted below! haha! 


SO....tomorrow is the BIG day!  My mom has told me how important it is that I get a good night's sleep tonight.  However, I couldn't even sleep last night thinking about what's to come.  It's crazy how our lives are about to change.  I have had so many thoughts running through my head.  The one that keeps reoccurring, other than how excited I am to meet Ryder, is "I'm not old enough to be a mom!"  I still feel like that little girl running around Cobblestone playing kick the can on summer nights and torturing my little sister (sorry Haley!).  It's amazing how fast time flies by.  That being said, old enough or not...he's coming!!!  We have to call the hospital at 5AM and hopefully they will tell us to come right in.  Then, we'll get there and Ryder will be in my arms an hour later.  That's how it works, right?!?  haha!!  Please pray for us and an easy delivery.  Please pray that Ryder is healthy and all goes well.  Also, please pray for my mom and dad traveling to Houston.  I'll post an up date as soon as I am able!!   Here are some pictures Marc took this weekend:

My First Posting!

Hello everyone!  Well, I don't know if there is anyone out there since I'm just starting this.  This is my first posting.  I know that I'm not as good of a writer as my two sisters, but I teach writing so I thought I would give it a shot!  
Information about me:  I teach 4th grade and married the greatest man on March 13th.  We are expecting a little boy, Ryder...YESTERDAY!  Yes, he is late!  We live in Houston, TX and have another son, just happens to be in dog form, named Fisher.  
I knew I wanted to start a blog once Ryder was born to post pictures and all, but since he is late and i'm going CRAZY, I decided to go ahead and start it now.  I don't know when I'll post again.  Hopefully, I can get the hang of this and stick to it.  Wish me luck...
